Private Well Owners

Private Well Owners are individuals or businesses with a groundwater well operated independently of any agency, and that supplies water for drinking, domestic use, livestock, and/or irrigation. Any well serving up to four connections is considered a private well. To ensure that the concerns and interests of PWOs are represented, the Board of Directors includes three Directors and one Alternate Director who represent the interests of the PWOs in Basin. PWO Directors serve four-year terms; the Agency publicly solicits applications for Well Owner Representatives to serve on the Board. For more information on resources available to private well owners, see Resources for Private Well Owners page.
