MGA RESIDENTS OF THE SANTA CRUZ MOUNTAINS, LIVE OAK, SOQUEL, APTOS, LA SELVA, AND SEASCAPE AREAS INVITED TO COMMUNITY MEETING, HOSTED BY SANTA CRUZ MID-COUNTY GROUNDWATER AGENCY GROUNDWATER SUSTAINABILITY PLANNING PROCESS TO BE DISCUSSED AT 6/14 MEETING IN SOQUEL

(JUNE 1, 2018) SOQUEL, CA–Santa Cruz Mid-County Groundwater Agency, formed in 2016 under the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act, announce a community meeting:

Thursday, June 14,
7:00 – 9:00 PM
Congregational Church of Soquel, 4951 Soquel Drive, Soquel, CA 95073.

Water utility customers, small water system customers, farmers, and private well owners in the Mid-County area are encouraged to attend the meeting to hear:

  • Groundwater sustainability planning update.
  • How a diverse stakeholder Advisory Committee is guiding Agency planning priorities.
  • How community members can ensure their groundwater planning concerns are heard.

ABOUT SANTA CRUZ MID-COUNTY GROUNDWATER AGENCY (MGA) The MGA is a regional water agency required by state law governed by an 11-member board with two elected officials each from Central Water District, City of Santa Cruz, County of Santa Cruz, and Soquel Creek Water District plus three private well representatives who together oversee groundwater management activities the Mid-County Groundwater Basin.
